Baby, I Baked | Tippie

Baby, I Baked is a photo series by London based photographer and creative director Tippie.

The images tell the tale of a woman liberating herself from a toxic relationship through a poisonous plot. Drawing inspiration from the classic 1950s housewife motif, this portrayal allows for commentary on gender roles, societal progress for women, and the strategic use of outdated stereotypes. A contrasting scene, a seemingly perfect woman versus what she is doing , using her perceived innocence and weakness to catch her unsuspecting victim off guard.

Featuring model Lily McCulloch, with creative direction also by Tippie, the shoot was influenced the popular “coquette” aesthetic popularised by Lana Del Rey', Pinterest and Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita.
